Ebenezer was a farmer in Waterford, Virginia who voted for secession. He served in the 56th Virginia Militia in 1859 and joined the confederate army as an orderly sergeant in the 1st Virginia Infantry. On February 3, 1874, Ebenezer married Mary Alice Myers but did not have children.
