Ruth was a life-long care-giver. The oldest of 7 children, she was a "second mother" to her siblings. She was Salutatorian of her class at Watertown High School, then President of her class at the Milwaukee Lutheran Hospital. A dedicated home maker, she returned to her profession due to a nursing shortage, then became Head Nurse (RN) of orthopedics. She became husband Ray's own "private duty nurse" for many years as he aged, and Ruth lived independently in her home until her 96th year. This beautiful woman touched the lives of so many people during her 102+ years!
