Lucy Rogers' father was Joseph Armistead Rogers and her mother Lucy "Ann" Burgess.

She and her sister Sarah "Polly" Rogers would marry the Rousseau brothers. Lucy married James Armenious Rousseau about 1767. Polly married Hilliare Rousseau about 1768 in Wilkes County, NC. Lucy and James would head for Kentucky and Polly and Hilliare would head for North Carolina.

Together James and Lucy had seven known children:

1.) David Quincy Rousseau, Sr. m. Catherine "Caty" Gaines
2.) Elizabeth "Betsy" Rousseau m. John Chesney
3.) Sarah "Sallie" Rousseau m. John Crain
4.) John Alexander "Jack" "Uncle Jack" "Uncle Johnny" Rousseau, Esq. m. Sarah Elizabeth "Sallie" Buster
5.) Ezekiel Rousseau m. Margaret "Peggy" Tomlinson
6.) Frances Malden "Fannie" Rousseau m. James Sloan, Sr.

According to the McGinnis Memoirs, Lucy married again to Samuel Dogan. The memoirs say:

"LUCY ROGERS ROUSSEAU DOGAN: died at age 104, buried near mouth of White Oak on Cumberland River, in Wayne Co., Kentucky - this is where the Rousseau's owned considerable property and operated a school."

NOTE: Age is incorrect in the memoir statement above, and Lucy did not marry a Dogan, that was her mother's 2nd husband.
