TUCKER, JOYCE E. - 83 years old 5-18-1930 to 5-11-2014 passed away at home one week before turning 84 years of age. She attended Powell High School graduating in 1948. She married and raised her children as a military wife moving around the country and overseas. Returned to Knoxville, attended nurses training at St Mary's and retired from Shannondale Nursing Home. She was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church. Predeceased by mother Mary Lydia Satterfield, sister Violet E. Massengill, grandson Keith T. Poe, son Jeffery M. Tucker. She is survived by her five children which she was very proud of: Sandra (Jack) McReynolds of Mt. Clemens MI; Debra (Les) Poe, Powell, TN; Joseph (Elaine) Tucker of Eldon, Iowa; Timothy (Judy) Tucker of Greenback, TN; and Lisa (William Scroggins) Tucker her caregiver; grandchildren: Raymond Tucker whom she raised as her own, Scott McReynolds MI; Kristy Poe Brooks Knoxville TN; Mike Tucker IL; Kiri Tucker Maryville, TN and Cory Tucker of Maryville, TN; 6 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren. "A very special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Care." Family and friends will meet at Bookwalter Cemetery 10:45 A.M. Wednesday for graveside services at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Travis Henderson officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
