Laura J. Keller (McKelvey), age 83, of Battle Creek, passed away May 11, 2009 at the Heartland Nursing Home in Battle Creek. She was born June 21, 1925 on the family farm near Maple Grove, in Barry County, Michigan the daughter of the late Harry E. and Stella (Harding) McKelvey.
She is survived by her brothers, Arthur and Ted McKelvey, and sister, Margaret Wilson (Arnold).
Laura lived and worked most of her adult life in Battle Creek. She was an honored member of the Order of the Eastern Star,and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
A memorial service will be held at the Daniels Funeral Home 9200 E M79 Highway, Nashville, MI 49073 on Saturday May 23, 2009 at 11 a.m. The family will receive visitors ½ hour prior to the memorial service beginning at 10:30 a.m.
