Louise was the wife of Albin (or Alvin) Hatfield, whom she married on 28 December 1876 in Pike County, KY.

She was the daughter of John W. Chaney and Dorcas Moore; he was the son of Joseph Hatfield II and Mary "Polly" Justice.

Some records indicate Louise died in KY, while others list her as buried here. Circumstances are unknown at the time. Was the body moved, or was a death in Pike Co., KY incorrect? One should also note Vulcan is right at the Pike Co., KY line.

Death dates also vary.

Suffice to say, many of Louise's children are listed as having been buried at Mounts.

Sand Siding, where it is stated Alvin/Albin was buried (per his death certificate), is/was just upriver of Vulcan.

Some of their children/grandchildren are also seen as having been buried at the "Hatfield Cemetery near Sand Siding," but it doesn't add up.

I am tentatively adding Alvin here, as well. Either the name is one of many OR the cemetery is small enough and remote enough that it has yet to be added to Find-a-Grave.

Louisa Chaney Hatfield d/o John W. & Dorcas Moore Chaney. She was born 1862 Pike Co, KY.. died Abt. 1900 Jamboree, Pike Co, KY.
