Son of William Thomas Morton (1881–1946) and Jessie D. Bradbury Morton (1885–1968); husband of Helen Gertrude Glenn Morton (1928–2022).
A member of Selma Baptist Church, a U.S. Navy Veteran, and a retired employee with General Electric.
Other survivors include a son, Larry Morton; daughter, Debbie Morton Graf; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Also predeceased by siblings, James Arthur Morton (1904–1965), Wiley Lee Morton (1906–1963), Clarence Morton (1908–1979), Rady Morton (1910–1964), Harvey E. Morton (1913–1928), Retler Lois Odell Morton Locke (1917–1992), Gladys Morton Teague (1921–1999), and Robert Lee Morton (1925–1991).
