DUMAS - Waco Fears, 79, died Sunday, March 13, 2005.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Morrison Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with Lad Boothy, pastor of North Plains Christian Church, and the Rev. Rick Korsmo, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery.

Mr. Fears was born Aug. 30, 1925, in Tahlequah, Okla. He was a Dumas resident since 1952. He retired from Witco as a lab tech in 1990 after 44 years of employment. He served in the Army from 1944 to 1952. He married Detta Williams on June 14, 1980, in Dumas.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Fears; a son, Don Williams; and a daughter, Mary Miller.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jimmie Williams of Miami, Fla., and Brian Williams of Amarillo; nine daughters, Helen McNabb and husband, Richard, Felicia Sandoval, Laverda Williams and Scooter Williams, all of Amarillo, Jewell Travis of Phoenix, Helen Price of Clarksville, Tenn., Joyce Russell and Lois Barton, both of Dumas, and Sharon Ellard and husband, Jack, of Black Canyon City, Ariz.; two sisters, Hazel Martin and husband, J.W., of Dumas and Billy Sue Ward of Tahlequah; a brother, Cleatus Fears and wife, Ellen, of Tahlequah; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Make-A-Wish, 411 S. Fillmore St., Amarillo, TX 79101.

The family will be at 500 N. Spruce St.
