DOERUN — Joe Byrd Calloway, 86, of Doerun, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at Worth County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 20, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Morey officiating. Burial will follow in Doerun Cemetery.
Born Feb. 6, 1927, in Logansville, Ga., he was the son of the late Hoyt Columbus Calloway and Lulla Lee Brownlee Calloway. He was retired from Farmers Fertilizer and he was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by, sons, Paul Calloway and Billy Casper; brothers, H.C. Calloway, Owen Calloway, Roe Calloway, Andrew Calloway and James Calloway; and sisters, Louis Cappage, Myrine Weeks, Bernice McClure and Mary Frances Thompson.
Visitation will from 4 to 6 p.m., today, Jan. 19, at the funeral home.
The family will gather at 301 Bay Ave. in Doerun.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
