DOVER - Alice G. Adams, 95, formerly of the Old Rochester Road, Dover, died May 6th, 2014 at The Edgewood Centre, Portsmouth, after an eleven year journey with Alzheimer's. Born July 18, 1918 in Brookfield, she was the daughter of Howard and Mercy (Kimball) Burroughs. She attended Nute High School. In 1949 she married Francis Q. Adams, and they built their home on the Old Rochester Road, where they lived until Francis' passing in May 2009. She was predeceased by her brothers, Roy, Howard, Dana, Warren and Wilfred Burroughs. Alice is survived by her daughter, Marion Cheney and her husband Harry C. Cheney of Dover. The family would like to thank Alice's compassionate caregivers at The Edgewood Centre and Beacon Hospice. Private burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery, Dover.
