Funeral Services for Arlyce Schott, of Norfolk, Nebraska was at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 12, 2011, at Christ Lutheran Church, Norfolk, Nebraska. Reverend Chip Winter will officiate. Burial was in New Lutheran Cemetery.

Arlyce went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Faith Regional Health Services, Norfolk, Nebraska. Arlyce was born on February 21, 1932, in Pierce, Nebraska, the daughter of Oscar and Agnes (Winter) Kellner.

Arlyce was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church, Pierce, Nebraska. As a grade school student, she moved with her family to Norfolk, Nebraska. She attended Christ Lutheran School through the eighth grade, was confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church and graduated from Norfolk (NE.) Senior High School in 1949.

While still in high school, Arlyce began her 30 year career with Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. She started as an operator and was later promoted to Central Office Clerk.
On February 22, 1953, Arlyce married Gilbert E Schott at Christ Lutheran Church, Norfolk, Nebraska. For the first three years of their marriage, they lived on a farm south of Battle Creek, Nebraska. In 1956, they moved to their acreage east of Norfolk, Nebraska.

Arlyce was a long-time member of Christ Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Pioneer Telephone Operators Club. Arlyce enjoyed quilting and was an avid reader. She was an excellent bridge player and golfer even making a hole-in-one. Arlyce took a special delight in spending time with her grandchildren and following them in their activities.

Arlyce was preceded in death by parents; brother, Lloyd Kellner; sisters, Ruth (Mrs. Dwight) Bruggeman and Marjorie Buchfinck.
