✿ DEATH NOTICE discovered, 31 October 2015, by PB, as she was perusing old Southern Herald newspapers on Chronicling Mississippi:
"Again, we give space in our columns for the notice of a death - that of Mrs. Hughey, widow of the late James Hughey, who died very suddenly at the residence of her son, Charles D Hughey, in this county on Thursday evening, the 4th last, at the age of about 70 years. The subject of this notice was much respected in the neighborhood where she had lived the most of her life, discharging the various duties of neighbors, wife, mother and Christian. She died the death of the righteous, and has gone to her reward."
