Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Edith M.; three sons, Patrick C., Seminole, Jeff M., Bellingham, Wash., and Eric C., St. Petersburg; a daughter, Debbie C. Smitley, Danville; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sandra Lea Purdue and two brothers, Harry and Donald Purdue.
