Edith Marjorie Purdue, 78, formerly of Danville, died Aug. 3, 2009, in Belleair, Florida.
She was born to James and Verna Garrison Carroll. She married Charles Purdue on Aug. 2, 1949, in Morganfield, Ky. He preceded her Jan. 3, 2006.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah (Mike) Smitley of Danville; three sons, Patrick Purdue of Seminole, Florida, Jeffery (Seiko) Purdue of Bellingham, Washington and Eric (Ruth) Purdue of Seattle, Washington; a sister, Ann Pfaff in California; grandchildren, Kyle (Amanda) Smitley of Rossville, Kayla Smitley of Danville, Megan Purdue, Gwyn Purdue and Dana Purdue all of Florida and Ami Purdue in Washington and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded by her parents; a daughter, Sandra Purdue; two brothers and a sister.
