Fort Fairfield – Marcia D. Adams, 79, wife of the late Edmond Robert "Bob" Adams Sr., passed away Wednesday evening, May 7, 2014 at a Mars Hill healthcare facility, following an extended illness. She was born March 3, 1935 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Wiley J. and Helena B. (McGinley) Rediker. She was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School and was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield.
Marcia was married to Edmond Robert "Bob" Adams on June 3, 1957, and was employed as a waitress at Russell's Restaurant, Fort Fairfield for thirteen years. She later became the Dietary Manager of the Fort Fairfield Community General Hospital for seventeen years. She and her sister Alyce Ramish were set directors of the Fort Fairfield Potato Blossom Pageant for over twenty-five years. They both were named Outstanding Community Volunteers of Fort Fairfield in 1987. She was also the chairman of the Ladies Thursday Bowling League for a number of years. Marcia loved to read, dance and play games with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Marcia was predeceased by her husband Bob Sr. on May 7, 2009; one sister, Alyce W. Ramish; one brother, Philip Rediker; dear friend, Tressa Hetherington.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Crum and her husband Fred of Germantown, Maryland, Judith Connors and friend Frank Morgan of Bath; her son, Robert Adams Jr. and his wife Denise of Presque Isle; her "favorite" grandchildren, Chris Higgins and his wife Jennie of Ellsworth, Ryan Connors of Portland, Brandon Adams and his girlfriend Nicole of Bethany, CT., Amanda Adams and her significant other Jesse Belmain, and great grandson Noah Belmain, all of Presque Isle; two sisters, Rachel Johnson of Chester, VT., Lorna McGee of Fort Fairfield; two brothers, Wayne and his wife Iva Rediker of College Station, TX, Paul and his wife Jeanette Rediker of Fort Fairfield; numerous nieces and nephews. Marcia also leaves behind many wonderful friends including Carolyn Giberson of Fort Fairfield.
