May 7-- Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Carl Jerome Hunt, Sr., age 75, of Lyons, GA who passed away on Monday, May 4, 2014 at his Brothers Residence in Lyons, Georgia.

Mr. Carl Hunt was born on August 31, 1938 in Toombs County, Georgia to the late James Luther and Bessie Irene Hunt, and was educated in the Toombs County.

He was a member of Oaky Grove United Methodist Church in Lyons, Georgia.

Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Jean Hunt; Son: Carl Hunt, Jr.

Everlasting memories will be remembered by his children: Shelme Adams of Marietta, GA; Martha (Micheal) Jones of Augusta, GA; Rodney (Tara) Hunt of Ailey, GA; Dudley Hunt of Duluth, GA; Michael (Michelle) Plater of Vidalia, GA; and David (Kim) Plater of Lithonia, GA. One Sister: Marie Sharpton of Lyons, GA. One Brother: James Allen Hunt of Lyons, GA. Six Sisters-in-Law: Victoria Hunt of Lyons, GA; Annie Riggins of Ailey, GA; Nancy Tillman of Vidalia, GA; Alberta Brown of Jacksonville, FL; Clara Mae Corouthers of Hollywood, FL, and Sallie Terrell of Birmingham, AL. Two Brothers-in-Law: Clarence Jackson of Philadelphia, PA; and Milo Mathis of Vidalia, GA. 25 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends also survived.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 09, 2014 from 12 noon until 7pm at the Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home – Vidalia Chapel.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2 pm from the sanctuary of Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Lyons, GA. Dr. Alfred Cason will deliver the eulogy. Rev. Harden is the pastor. Interment will follow in Rocky Creek Church Cemetery in Lyons, GA.
