Colon; Edith Louise HODGES, 70, 57360 Hodges Road, died Feb. 27, 1995, at the Carriage Inn Convalescent Center, Coldwater.

She was born June 17, 1924, Sherman Township, a daughter of Clarence and Grace (ZINK) HARTER.

She was married to Edward BAUMAN. He died in 1969. On June 18, 1971, she married James C. HODGES.

She had attended the Colon Mountain Country School and was a lifelong homemaker. She had lived in the Colon area most of her life and at her current address the past 24 years.

Surviving are her husband; one daughter of Indianapolis, Ind.; one son of Colon; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, one of Sturgis, and two of White Pigeon; one sister of Sturgis; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Edward and Gale BAUMAN; one sister, Pearl JORDAN; and one brother, Lewis HARTER.

Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Schipper Funeral Home, Colon, where services are at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Colon.
