Edward Rozema was the oldest of 14 surviving children of Samuel & Anna Rozema (a 15th, firstborn Ekke/Edward, survived only 5 days in 1895). As oldest son, he was very important to the family's celery and onion farm. He was tragically killed on Dec. 2, 1924, when the farm truck he was driving was hit by a train.
