Mrs. Monroe Duecker, 98, nee Idella Felps, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at Live Oak Inn Nursing Center.
Graveside services and interment were held Saturday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m., at Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Jarrell Sharp officiating.
Prior to the services, the body lay in state in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home.
Mrs. Duecker was born Nov. 6, 1904, in Blanco County, the daughter of Ben F. Felps and Martha Newman Felps. She married Monroe Duecker on Dec. 1, 1926, in Fredericksburg. He preceded her in death in 1972.
Years ago, Mrs. Duecker was a clerk at Dooleys 5 & 10 Store and later an aide at Browns Nursing Home.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Duecker was preceded in death by four sisters, including Nova Allmand, Claudie Weed, Bennie Lindemann and Novella Felps, and two brothers, including Arthur Felps and one brother who died in infancy.
