He enjoyed going to church at Living Word Worship Center, Liv Rite Fitness Center and spending time with his family and friends.
James is survived by his step-children, Stella Pettis, Frances (Jerry) Allen, Judy (Douglas) Lane, Gale Williams, Danny Watring, siblings, Donald "Jack" Gee, Chester (Diane) Gee, Judy (David) Bigham, Kenny Gee, fiancée, Sandy Mittendorf, several step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenora (Williams) Gee, mother, Mabel (Pake) Gee, father, George Rex Gee, step-daughter, Sue Scott, step-son, Dale Williams, and his sister, Mary Evelyn Jones.
