Lester Warren James was born September 9, 1893 in Henry County, Indiana to Thomas K. James (1848-1926) of Greensboro Township, Henry County, Indiana and Eva Elizabeth McNew (1851-1923). Lester married Fay Eva Stevenson (1901-1964), daughter of John Alonzo Stevenson (1866-1941); and, died May 21, 1969 (aged 75) in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska. Lester is buried at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana along with his wife Fay. Their known children include: Shirley Lois James and Warren K.
