He married Johanna Vos in the year 1892 at Holland and together they came to America in 1903 settling at Pella and continuing to live in and around Pella for the remainder of his life.
Mrs. Van Drunen passed away on April 13, 1933. To this union were born four children: John Van Drunen, now of Lincoln, Nebraska, John Peter, deceased, Gertie, Also deceased, and Jennie, Mrs. Bert Verros of Knoxville, Iowa.
In 1935 Peter Van Drunen was united marriage with Mrs. John Denburger and she passed away the following year.
He was a member of the First Chr. Ref. Church of Pella. Early the morning of February 12, 1957 he was taken in death at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Vos of 606 E. First St., Pella, where he had made his home for the past years. At the time of his death he was 89 years, one month and 29 days.
