Gridith "G.R." Coffey, 89, of Magazine, Ark. died May 3, 2014 at his home. He was born February 17, 1925 in Russell Springs, Kentucky, to his parents, Finn and Mary Ester "Thorton" Coffey. He was a Construction Building Supervisor for many years and owned and operated his own construction business, he served as a tank instructor for the United States Army during WWII and was of the Baptist faith. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Finn and Mary Ester Coffey; a son and a daughter; three brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years Lucinda "Cindy" Coffey of Magazine, AR; three sisters, Dimple Young of Louisville, KY, Lois Kimbler of Borden, IN, Ann Lyons of Loisville, KY; two brothers, Airl Coffey of Shelbyville, IN and Dravo Coffey of Livingston, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will hold a Private Memorial Service at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Booneville Funeral Service.
