Eddie was born in Mount Pleasant, Texas the son of Oran and Hattie Bishop.
Eddie worked for the Houston Terminal Railroad for 9 1/2 years before working for Houston Power and Light for 11 years and later retired from SWEPCO where he work some 20 years.
Following retirement he owned and operated Bishop's Saddle Shop.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorthy Adkins, Mary McGee, and Viva Setters; and a brother, L.E. "Buddy" Bishop.
