Albert L. McConahay was the son of Paul T. McConahay and Fern Roberts. He earned a bachelor's degree from Purdue University in 1964 and from St. Joseph College in 2006. He married Jeannie Peters in Indianapolis on Sept. 26, 1964, and she died on April 4, 2000.
