Mr. Lambert died at Kent County Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was age 81.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Provencal) Lambert.
He was the widower of Julia (Roberts) Lambert.
Mr. Lambert operated the Oakland Beach Theater about 10 years and after leaving that, became a painting contractor in about 1935.
He is survived by two sons, a daughter and a brother.
