Kenneth Harbin Bagwell, 88, of Greenville, SC, died Wednesday January 4, 2006, at the home of his son in Prosperity, SC.

A native of Belton, SC, he was the son of the late James Fred and Martie (Brown) Bagwell.

Retired from the U.S. Navy after serving two terms in Vietnam and 22 years of service, he later worked at Her Majesty in Mauldin and the State Farmers Market in Greenville.

He was a member of the Sam Poe Lodge No. 284, the Shriners, the Scottish Rite, and was a Baptist.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia (Pearson) Bagwell; a son, Clarence P. "Buddy" Bagwell (Carolyn) of Prosperity; two sisters, Lalar Estele Bagwell-Mayfield (Walter) of Greenwood and Mary Etta Bowman of Anderson; two grandchildren, Jan Lynn Bagwell of Kings Mountain, NC, and Sandra Elaine Burnham (Mark) of Gastonia, NC; and a great-grandchild, Megan Burnham of Gastonia.

Graveside services were held Saturday, January 7, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. in Old Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson, conducted by the Rev. Marshall Sargent.

Memorials could be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
