Joe R. Norman 79, Danville, died on Monday, September 11, 2006. He was born in Montezuma, IN on December 4, 1926 to Parke and Marie (Ryland) Norman. He was the Past President of Indianapolis Aero Club; member of Oviet Biroman, the Confederate Air Force, the Continental Dance Club, Inc. and the Moose Lodge. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shriners. He was the owner of Joe R. Norman Construction Co., Inc from 1955-1991, retiring in 1992. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Norman; son, Tom Norman, and brother, Robert Norman. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Joe A. and Paula Norman of Greenfield; grandsons Joe A. Norman Jr. of Champaign, IL and James Aron Norman of Alexandria, VA; granddaughter Jennifer Alyce Norman of Alexandria, VA; brothers Charles Norman and Richard Pittman; sisters Kathryn Dotlich of Danville and Margaret Dotlich; and fiancé Joy Totten. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, at Flanner & BuchananFuneral Center - Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral center. Entombment will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery
