Ruby was known for her outstanding cooking and amazing bowling skills. She belonged to a bowling league for many years and could throw a mean strike.
She was a faithful member of New Morning Star Baptist Church, where she worshiped and loved God.
Ruby leaves behind one son, Jessie Wingo; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Doby; two sons, Albert and Alfred Cox; and two brothers, Willard Roddy and Charles Cox.
