Mrs. Monica C. (Myrtle) Scherer, 91, of 1332 South 18th Street, Manitowoc, died Tuesday afternoon, July 24, at Holy Family Hospital.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Harold Berryman with burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
Mrs. Scherer, nee Monica Catherine Skrzypczynski, was born March 4, 1893, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Valentine and Agnes Wajer Skrzypczynski. She married Edward M. Scherer on September 7, 1920, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death April 20, 1955.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred and Shirley Scherer of Manitowoc and Daniel and Dorothy Scherer of Two Rivers; two sisters, Mrs. Rudolph (Agnes) Armatowski and Mrs. Verna Daron, both of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary and two brothers, Joseph and John.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by Rev. Harold Berryman.
