NAMPA — Services for Edwin Julius Glover, 76, of 1009 North Robinson Boulevard, Nampa, who died Tuesday in a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Nampa Church of the Brethren by the Revs. Russell E. Jarboe, Earl H. Traughber, M.S. Frantz and Kenneth Yingst. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of the Alsip Chapel.

He was born Nov. 22, 1900, in Lewiston, Minn., where he was reared. At age of 10 he moved with his family to Hancock, Minn., where he completed high school. He took his seminary work at the Bethany Biblical Seminary, Chicago, and studied at the Lewis Institute, Chicago, and the Mt. Morris Brethren College, Mt. Morris, Ill.

He married Mary Lydia Goodman, Dec. 25, 1921, at Putnam, Okla. He served pastorates in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Oklahoma City, Okla., and was pastor in Payette from 1832 to 1942.

They moved to Bakersfield, Calif., served in California churches for four years and returned to Idaho and served at the Weiser Church of the Brethren. They spent 1956-58 in Klamath Falls, Ore.; and then served at the Boise Valley Church of the Brethren for 18 years, until ill health forced him to retire.

He was a member of the Nampa Church of the Brethren, where he held numerous offices; secretary of the Nampa Lions Club; member of the American Association of Retired Persons; and was active in civic affairs.

Surviving are his wife, Nampa; a son, Julius Edwin, Yakima, Wash.; a daughter, Mary Velta Lambert, Kent, Wash.; a brother, Kenneth Yingst, Plymouth, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Merle Nitz, Stanley, Wis., and Mrs. Lois King, Payette; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 6 until 9 p.m., and Friday from noon until 2 p.m.

Memorials may be made to form a student ministerial fund for Church of the Brethren students, or flowers may be sent.
