Louis P. Prosperi, 93, of Bloomfield, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Mr. Prosperi was born and raised in Newark, and has been a longtime resident in Bloomfield. Louis was a butcher and owned Prosperity Meats in Newark for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier RC Church Holy Name Society, a co-founder of the Little League Organization in Newark, and he could often be found on Fridays at the VFW in Belleville.
