Services for Fred J. ''Bus'' Prior, 71, of 79 W. Albany St., who died Tuesday at Oswego Hospital, will be 9 a.m. Friday at Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in St. John's Church. Burial will be in All Saints Mausoleum. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 110 W. Seventh St. Mr. Prior was born in Oswego. He was a communicant of St. John's Church and a graduate of New York State Teachers College in Oswego. He earned his master's degree from Columbia University, taught school in Red Creek and Oswego, and also served as an assistant superintendent in Oswego, retiring in 1978. Mr. Prior served in the U.S. Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of Oswego Lodge of Elks, the American Legion and the Knight of Columbus. Surviving are his wife, the former Rita A. Fitzsimmons; five sons, F. Timothy Prior of Leominster, Mass., David J., Michael T., Robert J. and Phillip J., all of Oswego; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
