Philip Roger Marzolf, 80, of East Norwalk, died Thursday, January 6th, at home. He was the husband of Barbara Raymond Marzolf. Mr. Marzolf was born on August 14, 1930 in Staten Island, New York, son of the late Philip and Ellen Marzolf, and had been a resident of East Norwalk twenty-seven years, after moving there from Fairfield, Connecticut.

He graduated from Mount Hermon Preparatory School in Massachusetts. Mr. Marzolf served in the United States Navy for four years which included one year in combat in Korea, where he was assigned to the 1st Marine Division as a corpsman. Hospitalman Marzolf served with distinction having been wounded and decorated with a Bronze Star with V device for Valor and Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.

After his discharge, Phil attended the University of Connecticut where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree. He worked for the Mobil Oil Corporation, the Columbia Broadcasting System and the American Express Company, in management, both in America and overseas.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter; Kristine Marzolf, of Virginia, two sons; Erich Marzolf, of Texas, and Kurt Marzolf, of Ohio, siblings; Carol Burak, of Staten Island, and Richard Marzolf, of Brooklyn, NY., grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Karlie and Haley; also eight great grandchildren. Mr. Marzolf is predeceased by another son, Karl.
