Barbara Toycen Amestoy, 81

With the passing of a family member Mom would always say, "One less spoke in the wheel," meaning one less member in our family circle. It has now become her turn.

Mom was a true Montana lady. Born May 2, 1932, in Kalispell, and passing March 20, 2014, in Kalispell, she never wanted to call anyplace but Montana home. She marveled daily at the beauty and treasures Montana offered. She lived and loved the country life until she could no longer live alone.

Mom knew everyone. If she didn't know you directly, she knew your dad, mom, uncle or cousin, and she would recall their names and the last time she saw them.

Gramma Barbie spent many years as a wonderful grandma to BreAnna and Matthew Herron. She watched with pride as they grew into adulthood.

Barbara was the eldest daughter of Carl and Betty Toycen. She is survived by her son, Greg Herron; her sister, Carla Kahn; grandchildren, BreAnna and Matthew Herron; a great-granddaughter due in June; and a niece, Kelly Grant.

"Heaven will be a little brighter and a little nicer with the addition of God's newest angel. We love you, Mom."

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 28, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home, 1890 Highway 93 North, Kalispell.
