Isora married Alex A. Atkinson on August 20, 1888 in Chicago, Illinois. They divorced in 1894. Isora married prominent dentist Lambert Shaw Andrews about 1896, according to the 1900 US census, although Dr. Andrews' biographical sketch says that they were married on May 23, 1899 in Laredo, Texas.
Dr. Andrews died in Austin, Texas, in 1910, and Isora moved to San Antonio to take charge of her large real estate holdings there. She lived with her servant & companion, Juanita Zamora, at 3801 S. Presa Street, described as being a small home, but one of the most attractive in that part of the city. There are no known children from either of Isora's marriages. According to Dr. Andrews' biographical sketch, Isora Andrews was regarded as one of San Antonio's leading business women and also was active in social circles both in San Antonio and other parts of Texas.
Information from the biographical sketch of Lambert Shaw Andrews is from the New Encyclopedia of Texas, Volume 3; Davis & Grobe; page 1639.
Special thanks to Find A Grave member Laura V, who found Isora's grave in Mission Burial Park South, created a memorial for her, and also took the photo of Isora's marker.
