Katie Murry was born to John P. Murry and Maggie Lavina Grube Murry in Paden, Oklahoma. She was my mother younger sister, who was killed in a terrible accident right before Christmas in 1929, when the family was moving back to Muskogee, Oklahoma for the winter. Maggie and her two youngest daughters died in the accident.
