Nellie Belle Simonton died April 4, 1986, at the Oak Dale Manor Convalescent Home at Sand Springs. She was 88. Simonton was born in Missouri to William Thomas and Ida (Bryones) Crain on December 3, 1897. A former resident of Oilton, her last several years were spent in Sand Springs.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Simonton, her parents and a daughter Louise Morgan.

She is survived by a son William Logsdon of Sand Springs; sister Fern Wallace of Texas; three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held April 10 at Oilton under the direction of the Peck Funeral Home.
