Arnold F Henze, 59, Marshalltown, died suddenly in Faribault, Minnesota, Friday morning. He was in Faribault on business and became ill at the Brunswick Hotel and died later after being admitted to District One Hospital.

Born at State Center, April 14, 1908, he was the son of George and Sarah Leins Henze. When he was young the family moved to Minnesota and he received his education in the Wilmont, Minnesota area.

On July 6, 1942 in National City, California he was married to Norma Bailey Castell and with the exception of five years in the Belgrade, Minnesota area they had always made their home in Marshalltown.

Mr Henze was in the wholesale used machinery business and dealt in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North and South Dakotas.

During World War II he entered the service April 1, 1942 at Fort Des Moines and after serving with the 175th Engineering Battalion, was discharged July 8, 1945, from Fort Sheridan, Illinois. He served from January 14, 1943 until June 25, 1945 overseas and received the Silver Battle Star.

Surviving are the widow and two daughters, Mrs John (Geraldine) Rock of Tucson, Arizona and Mrs Robert (Carol) Carter of Omaha, Nebraska. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, five brothers and a sister, Roland Henze of Liscomb, Orville Henze of Belgrade, Minnesota, Mrs Floyd (Opal) Chance of Brotten, Minnesota, Russell Henze and Leland Henze of State Center and Clayton Henze of Marshalltown.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother and one grandchild.

Services will be from the chapel of Estel-Perrin Funeral Home Tuesday with the Rev Richard Walters, pastor of the Central Christian Church in charge. Burial will be in the Iowa River Cemetery, east of Marshalltown.
