Funeral services for Tillit Carter, 59, of 3221 Devereaux Rd, who died Friday, will be conducted at 3 pm Sunday from the Nixville Baptist Church in Hampton County. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mr Carter was originally from Hampton County, but had made his home in Columbia for the past 14 years. He was a retired rural mail carrier and a member of the Sandy Run Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs Josephine Carter of Columbia, and three brothers, Douglas E Carter of Columbia, Sydney Cater and Paul Carter, both of Augusta, Georgia.
The body is at the Peeples Funeral Home in Hampton.
