FALL BRANCH – Le Roy Jennings, 66, 101 Lovelace Road , Hwy. 93, Fall Branch, died at 2 a.m. Friday (Aug. 28, 1992) at Holston Valley Hospital and Medi¬cal Center .
Born in Norma, Tenn., he was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and a retired painter in maintenance for Mead Paper. He attended Browder's Chapel Church .
He was preceded in death by his father, Shird Jennings in 1986; a son, Roy Gene Jennings in 1971 and a brother, James Jennings in 1986.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ella Jennings; one son, Allan Wayne Jennings, Lovely, Ky.; one stepson, John Housewright, Church Hill; two stepdaughters, Judy Taylor, Mount Carmel and Georgia Greer, Jonesborough; a foster daughter, Carolyn Rines, Church Hill; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; his mother, Nannie Belle Jennings, Greeneville; five sisters: Pauline Huddleston, Surgoinsville, Mary Melton, Greeneville, Shelby Florindo, Massachusetts, Ruth Rhoton, Kingsport and Beulah Shupe, California; two half-sisters, Lucille Mitchell, Morristown and Ruby Lamb, Ohio; three brothers, Robert Jennings, Kingsport, J. C. Jennings, Church Hill and Glen Jennings, Marion, N.C.; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at East Lawn Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Henry McCann officiating.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.
