Ocie M. PAGE HANCOCK Ocie Mae Page Hancock, 88, of Enville, died October 7 2008 at Chester County Healthcare. Funeral at Shackelford Funeral Directors Casey Chapel with Rev Bill Evans officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Chester County. She was born August 3 1920 in the Huron-Luray area of Henderson County, the daughter of the late Charlie Etheridge and Lessie POWERS PAGE. She attended school in Henderson County. She married Walter James HANCOCK in 1945 and they lived in Peoria IL for 27 years where Mr Hancock worked for Caterpillar and she worked in the health care industry as a nurse’s aide in occupational therapy. They moved to Lexington in 1979. Mr Hancock died in 1980. She continued to make her home in Lexington until 1995, when she moved to the Enville area. She was a member of the Enville Senior Citizens, Enville United Methodist Church and the Enville United Methodist Women’s Auxiliary. She is survived by a son, Chuck Hancock (Eugenia) of Enville; a daughter, Jean Hedden (Larry) of Las Vegas NV; a grandson, Nicholas Hancock and four brothers, Buster Page of Huron, Amos Page of Mifflin, Charles Page of Lexington and Robert Page of Luray. Other than her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Marie Hancock in 1955; a brother, Kenneth Page and a sister, Nettie Jones.
