Wife of Famed Jurist Dies, Former Resident

Mrs. Helen (Edwards) Fairchild died in her home in Madison, Wis. Monday (Jan. 1, 1962). She was the wife of Judge E. T. Fairchild former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Fairchild were one-time residents of Dansville.

A funeral service was conducted in Madison yesterday and the body will be brought to Dansville today. Friends may call at the Chamberlin Funeral Home this evening where a funeral service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m.

The Rev. Robert McKee will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Thomas Edward of Madison, who also is a Supreme Court Justice; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Carter of China Lake, Calif.; several grandchildren; a sister, Miss Katherine Edwards of Madison; a sister-in-law, Miss Charlotte Fairchild of Madison, who resides during the summer in her home in Sparta.
