Iris Stone Archer, 82, of Mooresville, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2008, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. Born Dec. 4, 1925, in Davidson, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Gola Caviness Stone. Mrs. Archer was a long-time employee of Reeves Brothers in Cornelius.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Archer and wife, Sharon, of Mooresville; daughter, Audrey Soule and husband, John, of Charlotte; sister, Sybil Martin, of Salisbury; grandchildren, Melinda Gusler Brown, Tim Gusler and Debbie Archer; and great-grandchildren, Emma Gusler, Seth Brown and Ava Gusler.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 29 at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Turbedsky officiating. Burial will follow in Mimosa Cemetery, Davidson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville is serving the Archer family.
