Gregory Wayne Gore, 56 of Chiefland passed away on April 22, 2014 at Haven Hospice of the Tri Counties in Chiefland. Greg was born in Gainesville and was a heavy equipment operator. He was a people person, always enjoying spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and grilling. His one dream was to become a minister.
He is survived by his mother, Violet Lester of Chiefland; his son Daniel (Traci) Gore of Sunman, IN; daughter Rebekah Turner of Maine; granddaughters Selena Escamilla of Chiefland and Briana Gore of IN; his life companion, Connie Ward of Chiefland; sister Susan (James) Horne; brothers David (Karen) Gore all of Chiefland and Steve (Kerry) Lester of Jacksonville, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd R. Lester, in 2012
Funeral Services will be Sat, April 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services with Rev. Travis Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Chiefland. Visitation will be Friday night from 6 - 8 at the funeral home.
