Jose Velazquez, Sr., 57, of Wichita Falls passed away, Tuesday, April 22, 2014. A Celebration of the Liturgy will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral with Deacon Anastasio Perez officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Inspiration of Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 Friday evening at the funeral home. A Rosary will be recited and a Vigil Service will begin at 7:00 PM.
Mr. Velazquez was born September 4, 1956 in Ahualulco, S.L.P., Mexico to Andres Velazques and Narcisa Miranda Velazquez. He moved to Wichita Falls in 1973 and later married Francisca Hernandez on February 9, 1983 in Ahualulco, S.L.P., Mexico. He was a foreman for J V Construction Company here in Wichita Falls. Jose was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He loved his family dearly and was a great husband, father and grandfather. He had a small farm and enjoyed caring and nurturing his livestock. Jose was always ready to do his job, both for work and for family.
Mr. Velazquez was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors are his wife Francisca Velazquez ; children, Jose Velazquez, Jr. and wife Yesenia, Juan Manuel Velazquez, Juan Carlos Velazquez and Gladis Velazquez and husband Jose, all of Wichita Falls; sister, Maria Velazquez, brothers, Fermin Velazquez, Cornelio Velazquez, Jesus Velazquez and Baltasar Velazquez; 4 grandchildren.
