PVT US ARMY - WORLD WAR II
ORRINGTON – Floyd L. Norwood, 89, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at a Bangor hospital after a short illness. He was born Feb. 17, 1925, the son of Chester and Gertrude (Hodgdon) Norwood.

Floyd worked for 45 years at Eastern Fine Paper and when he was not working, loved spending time at the camp on Toddy Pond.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy (Beal) Norwood, two daughters, Patsy Harger and her husband, Jack of Wheatridge, CO, Nancy Norwood of Orrington, a grandson, Brian Phillips, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter, as well as a sister, Helen Costigan and her husband, David of Orrington. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters, a grandson, Sean Phillips, and a great-granddaughter, Stephanie Phillips.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Marston Cemetery, Orrington. (Bangor Daily News 4/23/2014)
