Graveside service for Jimmie Adcock, 80, of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Washita Cemetery with George Lundberg, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX.

Jimmie passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in Canadian, TX.

Jimmie was born March 24, 1934 in Wheeler, TX to the late Mr. Ross Adcock and Mrs. Ethel (Wallace) Adcock. He was a 1952 graduate of Canadian High School and attended Texas Tech University. He married Carol Turner of December 27, 1953 in Canadian, TX. Jimmie was retired from farming and ranching. He had also worked in the oilfield and the railroad. He was preceded in death by his son, Ken Adcock on October 8, 1997 and his brother, Dub Adcock.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Adcock of Canadian, TX; two sons, Tie Adcock and wife Marilyn of Norman, OK; Tim Adcock and wife Sallie of Mobeetie, TX; two daughters, Devonna Mares and husband James of Rio Rancho, NM; Cindy Moore and husband Ronnie of Canadian, TX; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Canadian Education Foundation, Box 438, Canadian, TX 79014; Mobeetie Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 50, Mobeetie, TX 79061 or a favorite charity.
