She died Monday, July 12, 1999, in Plano.
She was born Oct. 24, 1914, in Stonewall Co. She married Marshall N. Smith on Dec. 23, 1933, in Spur. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1974. She graduated from Oriana High School. After their marriage they lived in Jayton. They moved to Hart in 1945 and then to Tulia in 1952. She lived there until May 1994 when she moved to Plano. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tulia since 1952.
Survivors include a daughter, Marsha Chisum of Plano; a sister, Anita Baker of Boham; three grand - children and three great-grandchildren.
