Mr. Beesley was born Dec. 31, 1917 at Glasco, Kan., the son of John and Mary (Melcher) Beesley.
He grew up in Glasco, Kan. He married Dorothy Peterson, she preceded him in death.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Following the war he worked as a framer, heavy equipment operator and at Gilmore-Tatge Manufacturing. He was a member of the Leisure Center, Clay Center. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Clarine Hauck.
Survivors include one sister, Charlotte Mottin of Clay Center.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23 at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, Clay Center. Inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center.
Memorials may be made the Leisure Center in care of the funeral home, 918 7th St., Clay Center, KS 67432, or do a favor for a friend in his honor.
